Prei Khmeng Style (635-700)

Religion:

Shivaism and Mahayana Buddhism. An inscription (791) was found in Siem Reap, which mentions the image of the bodhisattva Lokesvara. It is supporting evidence of the existence of Mahayana Buddhism in Cambodia.

Sculpture:

The sculptures are generally smaller than the previous styles. The support arch is still present.

Architecture:

This style witnesses some changes in architectural decoration, in continuity with the Sambor Prei Kuk style.
