Waste survey

We interviewed vendors at the historical sites of Angkor Vat and Angkor Thom in order to focus on the amount of waste from shops and resturants. The survey took 7 days in August 2003 and was conducted 2 months before the HCC Group Co., Ltd. started to collect waste in the park.

Air quality survey

We collaborate with the Ministry of Environment to survey the air quality by studying NO2, CO, and SO2 twice a year (in the dry season and in the rainy season). The first survey was started from Feb 4th, 2004 and the second survey was conducted on July 7th, 2004. The surveys last a week. Sampling points are at the main check point and in front of Angkor Vat.

Water quality survey

We survey pH, EC, transparency, TSS, BOD, COD-Cr, DO to measure quality of the water. There are three sampling points: 1. at the rear of the dam near Prasat Ta Nei (Angkor Vat), 2. at the bridge near Phsar Char (urban area), 3. at the bridge near the Tonle Sap lake. The dates for the water quality survey are the same as the ones for the air quality survey.
