The Archaeological Unit consists of a team of Khmer archaeologists
that divide in to four teams, who are responsible for different
works.
Evaluating the archaeological potential of the zones
managed by APSARA Authority and organizing an appropriate
excavation program.
Collaborating with the other units of the department
with regards to archaeological interventions at the
monuments.
Compiling data, especially on the risks threatening
the cultural heritage in the Angkor Park and the surrounding
regions, and demonstration findings in maps and reports.
