Environmental Unit
The Environmental Unit consists of a group of architects
and engineers in charge of the surroundings of the monuments.
Their work includes drawing maps of the Angkor area, plan
the Parvis in front of each temple (visitor facilities,
such as toilettes, parking, restaurants, souvenir shop,
resting places), and develop the landscape around each temple
in order to keep Angkor sites both culturally and naturally
intact.
The unit cooperates with French experts of the FSP program
and with the Archaeological Unit to develop the Parvis in
front of each temple.
