City infrastructure

Recently, the infrastructure of Siemreap City has dramatically been damaged. If we look back, we find that the infrastructure of the Siemreap river was quite good. Along the National Road 6, for example, the ancient canal played an important role in supplying water to the rice fields and releaving the surrounding area of run-off water when there is heavy rain. The city was never flooded as it is nowaday after heavy rain. Therefore, the city infrastructure is one of the department's priority issues. If it cannot be restored to good condition, the city will hardly have the potential to develop a strong tourism industry.
