History of Culture & Tourism City (Hotel Zone)

The City of Culture and Tourism of Angkor extends over about 1007 hectares. It is approved by the Royal Decree 079 and 199.

In 1995, the Royal Decree 079 determined the City of Culture and Tourism of Angkor, which extended over a territory of 560 hectares.

It was approved as zone "A" as circumscribed in the appended plan. It is the property of the Kingdom of Cambodia in Siemreap and turned over to the APSARA Authority for management as a hotel zone.

After that another sub-decree was created with the purpose of extending the area. Since then the hotel zone consists of an area of 1007 hectares.
