Discovery Buddha Statues
The ground floor is composed of offices, an information centre, a discovery room, an experimental room, a southern exterior gallery, and an atelier of restoration.
The visitors will be guided first to visit at this ground Floor, some posters explaining briefly the introduction of the history of Khmer Arts and the discovery of 274 sculptures in Banteay Kdei temple, then to the southern gallery and the discovery room. The latter, besides exhibiting Buddhist statues, presents the visitors
a number of replicas produced from original sculptures, from which we can learn more about the situation of discovery and other details of statues. In the experimental room of this floor, a replica of a stone pillar with thousand Buddha images is also available for the visitors who want to practice their rubbings.

The upper floor consists of two principal exhibition galleries. The first gallery displays the most beautiful pieces of different stylistic patterns, such as Buddha statues with different gestures, Avalokitésvara and Prajñaparamita statues, few bronze artifacts, and the stone pillar carved in
low relief with 1008 images of Buddha in meditation. The second gallery, in the south-west corner of the floor, also exhibits Buddha statues in different seating postures. Apart from the exhibition galleries, the Museum also has an archaeological laboratory and a library housing about 5000 books written in French, English and Japanese on various subjects of Southeast Asia, especially of Cambodia.
